Banged em on the......wait no s

Went out with the seahorse for ling today with my friend John.  Nice ride out and started with a little pick in the stern and conger city, quick move and a little more of the same. Made a move and had a nice pick going on in the stern. Another move and the bow seemed to have the action. After a while put-on the roller skates and put some more meat in the cooler.
My friend John took the pool $140 bucks which paid for a nice healthy tip for us both.
Mate Alex was very attentive, the boat nice and clean. Even offered everyone ice.
Special thanks to the captain who had food for everyone as well.  Wonderful operation, mates had to filet all the way to the dock. We took about 25-30 including a nicer keeper fluke and a whiting (remember them)
Didnt get to bang em on the bingo but did get to sling em on the seahorse!

Sounds like a great trip. t^ Were the ling all caught on clams or did you try some gulp products? How deep was the area you were fishing in? That was very nice of Captain Jack to provide some food for his fares.  clp  

Going on my first fluke trip of the year tomorrow on a NS out of AH docked next to the Sea Horse.

I think everyone had some sort of gulp on. We were fishing in what I think was around 120' or so.

Thanks for the update on where and how you fished. Last year I did a trip where we took the clams off and just jigged the hooks tipped with gulp and we slaughtered the ling.  120' is not that bad as that should be the edge of the mud hole. It is the 200' and over that is a killer.  TT^

great catch.. Are you sure that Fluke wasn't a winter Flounder.. Usually thats what you catch out there in the cold depths of the wrecks?

true.. if they are flat they are fluke.  lol.. winter flounder migrate to the depts of the cold, dark wrecks and they eat clams.  They both taste good.
