Sandy Hook Fluke Fishing Report 7/13 & 7/14
« on: July 14, 2013, 06:45:45 PM »
Ran Sat afternoon with Danielle and Zack with  their family from Florida. East wind and outgoing tide along with a little ground swell made things a
little bumpy. Bounced around catching a couple of sea bass, some dogs and mostly short fluke. Headed back to sandy hook bay after the tide change and had more shorts and couple of nice fat croakers. Slow afternoon for sure with 4 keeps.
Sun morning picked up Dennis (DJ76) and family...ran to ambrose and pounded it hard in nice conditions but once again came up with all shorts and a dog invasion. Ran back to swash channel for a couple more shorts. Put her on a drift on the knoll and finally broke the ice with a couple of keepers. Last drift of the day produced 2 more at the whistle. Another slow day...water temp was 69.5 in the morning at end of outgoing...incoming had 70.4
Hope it gets better soon!
