Fished the Lavalette surf from 7-8 tonight and caught two kingfish. One 15" and one 13". It drizzled for the last half hour I was there and started pouring at 8. I didnt mind the drizzle but I just couldn't stay out there in the full out rain. Wish I could've got another hour or two out there but I'm happy.
After I caught my first fish a little 12 year old kid who was flying a kite ran up to me. He said he had been fishing for the past week and hasn't caught anything. I told him the fish were there and about 10 minutes later I see him a few yards down with a rod. A few minutes after that he caught a skate and was happy. It was a good moment.
