Got out kinda on time. had to stop to fuel up on the way out and had to wait a few for someone to get out of the can. Ran out to some new spots at first, trying to find some life. Found all the robbins, I think. As the tide changed the bite was gone. Searched all around on some older spots, from years past in some deep water, and found nothing. Headed over to the end of the SH channel. not even a short. Moved up between the channels and it was better. Saw Capt Ron working an area a little to the southwest. we were working our way in that direction. Not to many shorts, but still a few, and a couple robbins of course. Bite was a little touchy today. Had about 10 pieces of gulp get bitten in half, along with the Fluke belly getting stripped several times. The fish we did get in the net were decent up 24" at 5 lbs. on the button. Ocean was a little choppy in the morning but it laid down nicely as well as the drift. First time this year the old man bettered me.
He only got tangled up twice today and lost 8oz of lead.Good Day.
