Hunter 2 --tourney breakdown. 8-8-13

WAGNERS Marina had they're annual Fluke tourney yesterday. 6:30 am start we motored to the tip of the hook to catch some blues for bait. Then Scott G,MassBaster Steve and myself made the 7 mile trip out to the mud bouy.  The first drift produced a couple of snags and a Skate. I went to start the boat to make another move and it would not run. We narrowed it down to the ignition coil and I don't carry a spare.
    At 10:10am I called Boat US and tossed out the anchor. They arrived at 11am and had a 3 hour tow 22 miles. We arrived at the marina at 2pm in time for the weigh in.  Top 3 fish were 7.6lbs 7.2lbs and 6.9 lbs.
     Congrats to the winners. clp
       The boat will be fixed today after work.

Wow, sorry to hear that Eddie. I was at the mud buoy and saw towboat us come out. Didn't know it was you on the end of their string.

I know the feeling of the boat not working, been having issues with mine for some time now. Hopefully, it's fixed and back in order.

Tuff luck for that to happen in a tournament.  :P

Bummer. Thank god for these towing companies. I remember when I was younger, it was flag someone down or call the coast guard. For the price of a yearly membership, it is ten times as valuable as AAA.

Thank god for towing contracts. Hope its a speedy repair for you Eddie. I gave a kid a tow myself yesterday, he had something fouled in his prop on the Manasquan between the Rt 35 & RR bridges.
