Hudson River 10-13-13

Fished the Hudson River today for about 2 hours using bloodworms. Only caught 2 super small stripers. Had a few more hits that bit the worm just behind the hook. Again, lost more rigs that I can count due to snags.

Thanks for the report. At least you got to wet a line unlike all the ocean fishermen this past week. 

I have not fished from shore in many years, but why can't you use some type of float or bobber and estimate the water depth to stop getting snagged so much. Does the bait have to be laying on the bottom?

If I ever fish here again I will definitely have to try something, maybe the bobber thing will do.
