11/17 Hunter2 Stripes in the Soop
« on: November 17, 2013, 09:24:46 PM »
I had the pleasure of fishing with Eddie today. We got a late start into a soupy fog but otherwise calm and relatively flat. Thought about stayin' close due to low visibility but we both agreed we could see well enough for a careful ride to the ocean.

Rounding the Hook we were greeted with minimal traffic and a few birds working. Saw the usual suspects a bit farther out so as we head in the general direction we see a lot of jiggin goin on but not a lot of catching. Get the trolling gear out and zzzzz. Keeper. Short. Double header 1+1.

At this point we are basically by ourselves so we start a few gentle turns keeping in the same area as the fish (we hope) Yep, double header 2 shorts. Missed one. Big blue. Keeper. Break off. another yellow eye. Another double header both keepers, nice fish. Wow not even enough time to get the second rig down sometimes. Definitely no time to eat or drink.

It was tough staying hydrated as we got dizzy going in circles but somehow we managed. Back to the dock in time for a brew and some football. Limits all around +.  Great day; the fish are there, go get 'em! Thanks Eddie.

It was a good trip Warren, Thanks for joining me.  Even with minimal boat traffic we still had one Jacka$$ trying troll across our lines and think he was right. smk   Good thing my sinker throwing days are over. t^

Paul, that's a 'she-holds' knot. You know, if she holds, she holds.  TT^

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
