Any Winter Projects?

Now that most of us have our boats high and dry does anyone have winter projects planned?

I have plans on having my fuel tanks and deck replaced. Irish Ayes is going on 20 years old and I think I'm running on borrowed time with the tanks. I will try to document the project with pics if I can.

What plans do others have?

1) Repair or replace bow pulpit.
2) Remove hardtop, replace overhead lighting, and re-carpet or surface the underside of the top.
3)Rearrange cuddy and make more storage space.
4)Remove hull striping and maybe decals.
5)Repower

Plenty to do.

Just having problems deciding what to do first.

Desperately need to add plier/knife holders everywhere!

Want to relocate battery switch...cant stand it in the bilge.

Racor has to be moved and mounted higher.

Backing plates added to trolling rod flush mounted holders.

Add second and third bilge pumps.

Install lighting in the bilge compartment.

I would like to better insulate my 62 Gallon fish box to keep ice longer, and while I'm at it, add some to my live well too.

I'm sure to find other stuff while I'm out messing around with the boat.

Hunter 2 needs the exhaust manifolds and risers replaced, the passenger seat pedastal lag bolts need replacing. All will be done in the spring.
I might be adding a large offshore overnight capable boat to the arsenal
Next year.  Now I have to learn all about diesel motors

Well I got my notice from the SSA saying that I am OFFICIALLY RETIRED.  Had to wait till I was 66 to do it though.  Now I can drop the disabled part and concentrate on what I really want to do when I grow up.

Well here goes...

I will be following my dreams of painting.  I have my studio all broken in with 20+ years of practice (with tons of flying paint on the walls)so I think its about time I try and sell this stuff or at least copies of my art called Giclee.

I am currently working on a 36 x 48" canvas of Waimea Bay looking down at it from the top of the bluff where there use to be an ancient Hawaiian Temple called a Heiau.  It will take me some time to complete this project but hey I got the time now.

My plan goes a bit further I plan on painting a series of these paintings from around Hawaii Nei.  In fact we will be going back to Hawaii in May to see if any galleries will handle my works, wish me luck on this one.

Plus can't wait till the Spring to get back out; as of now I took the rod/cooler rack off the Expedition for the winter.

I will be making all my rigging for next season and tying teasers to replenish the ones that got tore up this year.

I guess that is it for me for the winter months, looking forward to next year.

I need to re-adjust the float in fuel tank.  Seeing that at a full tank it reads 1/2. and so forth. If any one knows the proper way and info would be greatly appreciated

Replacing it is easy if you can get to it, just a couple screws, a couple wires and matching up the length for the new one.
Make a mark on the old one so you can tell the exact way it sat.

With that said, if you can swing it, install a flow scan an and stop the wondering.
