Fish Monger Trip 6/7/14

Fished a Monger Charter today with Luna Sea, Reef Squatter, and my co workers. Beautiful day on the water today,We had a blast Jerry might have considered it a slow day, But anytime I see over 140 fish in the box it was a great day. Had a blast Sea Bass and ling mix. As all of you Know Jerry is one class act and his mate Bruce was on top of everything. Don't get much better than today  t^

Excellent trip, good people. That boat is sweet, 9 guys and never bumping elbows or tangling lines. Comfortable!

Capt Jerry runs the best trips I've ever been on.  He works extremely hard, will burn a ton of fuel and will keep you later then most charters to get you on the bite.  

Total, 100% class act when chartering on the Fish Monger.  Jerry and deck man Bruce are the dynamic duo on the water.  

For those who are looking for a great trip with a success rate much higher then most others, the Fish Monger is what you want.

The only bad thing is, once you fish with Jerry, you will be spoiled and won't want to fish elsewhere.  Then you have to try to find an opening within his busy schedule.  

The boat itself is FAST.  At 45' long and a 14' beam, (if I am not mistaken), 10 people have more then enough room to fish comfortably and still cruise at 25+ mph.  The Monger II is a fast tank that can handle almost any sea.

No disrespect to any other captains, but based on my experience, he gets my full support and recommendations any day of the week.  

In the past while on charter boats from NJ, Virginia, and Florida, I always try to play back seat captain and think to myself, how can I make this trip better.  Would I stay longer, travel further, use fresher bait, bounce around to different spots more often, or hire a better deck man.  With the Monger II, there is no back seat captain.  Everything that I can think of to improve a fishing trip, Jerry has already done it and then some.  I honestly can't think of one thing that I would change or improve while fishing on the Fish Monger II.  Kudus to Jerry and Bruce.  See you guys this summer.
