From what I got from Sandro..  And I agree..
These fish didn't get to be 20 years old and 800 lbs from being stupid.  Their catch rate per trip is Under 25%..  Meaning not including multiple fish on one trip.  there average was 25 fish per 100 trips..

Makes sense to me.. You book a trip hoping your trip is in that 25% and those fish are being stupid that day ;D  I for one was ok with that..

We don't go to the casino with 500$ expecting to win every time.  but In the tuna aspect. the time of year will up your odds.. t^

I want to run 8 Tuna trips this year.  I'm looking for 4 for 8  t^  Last year we were 2 for 4...

Should they be pushing Tuna trips in June.. No maybe not.  but it was also for schooling tuna.. and we were told the the tuna fishing was slow and we could go bottom fishing.  I for one was willing to take the chance t^

All true

But

Hoping to have a Tuna hit one of your three baits swimming in this big pond with all of the bait we were marking just doesn't seem like good odds to me.
Why anchor and wait for them to find you? I don't buy the chum don't work this time of year.
I think we had a better chance when we went on the drift when you know there are not many fish in the area.

Just my thoughts.
