NJSWF Monger Trip 9/6/14

The crew today consisted of Luna Sea, Uncle Luna, Wreckfish Phil, Big Al, Christian Fisherman120, Mark Treebeard, Paul Hiking,and a special guest appearance by none other than Kenny. I think I can speak for everyone WE HAD GREAT TIME ! There was plenty of Ball Busting but all of us plus the Work of Jerry with his skills and his crew of Bruce and Nate went above and beyond as Usual can't say enough about a Fish Monger Trip Hopefully the picture's say it all! Last picture tells it all We were exhausted

Two full 5 gallon buckets ,filled with fillets .WOW ! Great job crew .

Wound up 1 short of our 5 man limit and not from lack of trying. Great action from the first drop on. Plenty of almost all day. If it was last year we would have been back at the dock by 930 with the boat limit including the 45 minute run to the grounds and back. Had to be close to 200 fish over the rail with 49 going to the sin bin. The wind started honking and made for a real fast drift but the fish were still biting. In true Monger fashion stayed out late trying for the big 50 but just couldn't come up with one bigger than 17 3/4. I had a blast thanks again to Luna for making it happen.

Me and Nick are going to line up 2 trips for next year and hopefully make this an annual thing with Jerry.

another great trip with the njswf gang, thanks for setting this up Nick and I hope I can make every one of the future trips. You keep reading reports about the monger, and when you go on your first monger trip you find out they are all true. as hard as I tried I couldn't unhook one fish or untangle one tangle. the hard working mates were always there.

..  Been There.. Done That..  Every for us that own our own boats..  This is a must do trip..

I agree.  I have my boat but will always do a couple trips on this Charter.  Not only for the catch, but for the experience.  The mates will always give you a little tip or trick to help improve your catch.
