I back feed mine thru a 220 outlet. Turn the main off and that's it. It should be grounded to the frame of the generator. I guess you could run a cable from the frame to a grounding rod at your home.
I know electrian but I did stay at a holaday inn once.

So it can be grounded, but how?  Buy tying the frame to a grounding rod?  Or simply through the pig tail to an outlet like Rick does?

the pigtail should have a ground that goes from the generator receptacle to the house receptacle. That will ground the outlet, most generators have rubber motor mounts which will break the ground from the engine to the frame unless you see a ground wire that usually goes from one of the bolts in the cylinder head to the frame. If your planning on back feeding like Rick does make sure you turn the main off  t^
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
