No Bait report!
« on: October 29, 2007, 02:05:30 PM »
Was down finishing up for winter and their were NO peanuts in Keyport (West Front street bridge and back).

Last week and before, you could walk on them. Yesterday, didn't see a single one!

Exact same scenario at the Point Pleasant canal & Manasquan river, only a week earlier. Peanut bunker were all over the river on the 20th, and gone by the 22nd. My son found them at the manasquan inlet on the 22nd, so probably moving south.

Shark River was scarce for peanuts Sat and Sun.  I did see a lot of spearing though.  Not big enough to make me take the net out and toss it around.  I would like to get some decent size ones for a start on bait for next year.
