Irish Ayes Here Toggie Toggie
« on: November 17, 2014, 07:27:13 AM »
Well lets see if I can write a report that can come close to Bucktails  fcp The Blackfish crew was made up of myself, Capt Joe, Johnny Oz, Kevin and Peter. As Capt Joe pulled the Irish Ayes through the inlet we were greeted with a beautiful sunrise and as we made the port turn around the north jetty that crisp clean Atlantic air hit you in the face and I thought to myself " Oh Yea I would rather be snuggled up in the bed pressing my morning wood against the wifes butt" I Mean " On Yea there is nothing like getting up at 4:30 to fresse my butt off to go chase stupid fish"  fcp Needless to say as always it was a fun day on the Irish Ayes but a disappointing bite. After several moves we found some action in flurries. Kevin scored our first keeper, then Johnny Oz. Capt joe was high hook and biggest fish putting 4 in the box. A few shorts lots of bergals. One Dogfish, 2 skates, and a Eel. We started to make our way south and found some bird activity, It was bunker and blues with no striped ones to be found. Yesterday was the last trip for the Irsh Ayes this year the boat will be pulled this week.

Hey Skip, did I tell you how much I hate getting up early for fishing (or anything else for that matter).  ;D

Last trip of the season. I wish it was a better catching day for us but it is what it is. Time to put the Irish Ayes to bed for another winter hibernation. Get all the gear off and ready for next spring.

Nice report Skip. Sad to see the Irish Ayes put into mothballs. It was a fun season.  Thanks for having me aboard Joe.  t^

Time to get on the Gambler for some late season striper jigging.

Now that is a good report Skip. We  can certainly understand your thoughts about the morning get up and dilemma about going fishing. I'm sure the day was fun too, but not as good. ;) TT^ >:D

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
