Had Jakemeister and my son Dan aboard for the Tog openner. We headed straight for the SH reef, marked a piece, anchored and started fishing. Slow start but soon some nice fish were in the box. We were 4 fish shy of the limit by 10AM when the bite slowed down. We dropped back on the anchor a couple of times and managed to limit out by 1PM. Played C&R for a bit but only landed a few more shorts.
Dan caught the most species, Ling, CBs, Bergals and the sashweight from my marker. I did manage to land the first spiney of the fall season. Jake just hammered away on the targeted species.
