A welcome relief from the weather this weekend as mostly sunny skies dominate and water conditions improve. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny with a mix of sun and some clouds. Highs will be in the 30’s and 40’s with overnight lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Northern areas could see some flurries on Friday Night. Water conditions will continue to be cautious on Friday, but begin to improve by Friday Night. Northern and offshore waters look mostly good for Saturday and Sunday. NWS says possibly wind gusts to 25 knots on Saturday, as well. Some gusty winds to 20 knots will linger, but seas improve to 2-4 feet. Southern waters could be cautious most of the weekend with winds in excess of 20 knots and some higher seas, still. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to good. Be mindful of any erosion issues on the beaches. Winds will be gusty to 20 knots on northern beaches and 20-30 knots on southern beaches. Surf will be rougher, but cleaning up as the weekend progresses with 2-4 feet and 3-5 feet, subsiding to 1-3 by Sunday for most locations. Water temperatures are a couple of degrees colder. Most waters are in the 40’s and 50’s with some 30’s in the rivers and bays. UV Index will be Low, 1-2/15.

Low pressure over New England will remain in place through Friday before moving offshore. High pressure over the central part of the country will slowly move eastward and reach the Appalachians on Sunday and the Eastern Seaboard on Monday. A cold front is forecast to pass through the region on Tuesday.

Next week looks to be mostly dry, as far as I can see at this point. Tuesday could bring some chances of rain. Highs will continue in the 30’s and 40’s with overnight lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look good as well. This of course, is subject to change for the middle to end of the week.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
