My better late than never trout report
« on: April 09, 2007, 07:53:34 AM »
been working real long night shifts for the past week so my report is a little late. Hit the Rockaway with a buddy of mine on Saturday The spot we hit was packed but not unmanageable. The fish were very agressive and we both had our limits by 830, all brookies. I caught 1 ugly, fat, almost finless brookie that weighed almost 3 pounds.. The warden was there checking everyone.. so anyway we hit a couple of other spots through out the morning and each caught and released at least 20 fish, all brookies.. I will be out agian, hopefully this afternoon.. gotta get some more to fill the smoker, I have several orders to fill. I guess this is a good way to kill time before the stipers and  fluke.. ;D
