A mixed weekend with good water conditions. Saturday will have mostly sunny skies before clouds increase Saturday Night into Sunday. Sunday will be cloudy with chances of rain showers all day. Northern areas will have chances of snow showers at night. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to low 50’s with lows in the 30’s to low 40’s. Water conditions will be good for all inshore waters. Winds could be gustier on Sunday and visibility could be reduced with any rain, however conditions will remain below SCA criteria. Offshore waters will be improving into Saturday and then will be borderline to cautious on Sunday with gustier winds and seas over 3 feet. Surf conditions will be good. Water temperatures are in the 40’s and 50’s. Rivers and bays have increased by a few degrees and offshore waters have decreased a degree or two. UV Index will be Low at 0-2/15.
High pressure over the Carolinas will move slowly out to sea through Saturday. A cold front will cross the area on Sunday, then stall just to the south, as low pressure rides along the boundary Sunday Night into Monday. A strong Canadian High Pressure System is then expected to gradually build east on Tuesday through Friday of next week.
Next week will start off with lingering showers during the day on Monday, clearing out by Monday Night. Tuesday through Friday looks dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the 30’s and 40’s with lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look good through Wednesday, then cautious to hazardous for Thursday and possibly into Friday.
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
