Another mixed week, looking much better than the last few weeks with mixed water conditions. Monday will see decreasing clouds and increasing sun with dry conditions. Tuesday and Wednesday will see a chance of snow showers with little to no accumulation at this point. Thursday and Friday look dry again. Sun will be more present this week and as season change approaches, more predominant in the sky with higher UV indices and longer days/daylight. Monday will have icy conditions possible as standing water and melted snow, refreeze tonight and into the morning. Temperatures will still be cold this week with highs in the 20’s to 30’s with overnight lows ranging from the negatives to 20’s. Water conditions will be cautious with Small Craft Advisories on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Tuesday, however looks like good conditions. Some days may be more borderline as well, such as Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. However, Monday will be a solid Cautious day as winds will gust beyond 30 knots. Surf and beach conditions will be good, despite some gustier winds and rougher surf with wave heights 2-4 feet for the week. Water temperatures are steady in the 20’s and 30’s with low 40’s offshore. UV Index will be Moderate at 3-4/15 for most of the week.
High pressure will build out of the central part of the country on Monday and into the area on Monday Night into early Tuesday. An area of low pressure is forecast to move along the southern tier of Canada Tuesday into Wednesday, pulling a cold front across the East Coast on Wednesday. High pressure is expected to return again late Thursday into Friday and continue into the weekend.
The weekend will have some lower chances of precipitation on Saturday and Sunday. Highs will be in the 20’s and 30’s with lows in the teens and 20’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look good and improving throughout the weekend.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
