On Saturday morning my son and I trolled between 11a and the Reach with only a few 10# class bluefish to show for our efforts. We did drop a big bass about 25' behind the boat when he spit the hook thrashing on top.
On Sunday morning had my son and his girlfriend Chelsea out. Started trolling stretches near the navy pier and we immediately caught and released 3 blues. Moved north and more blues at first then Dan landed his first keeper of the year that weighed 20#. Next fish hits and it's Chelsea's turn on the rod, she was able to land with a little coaching a nice 21# bass. The captain did manage to land the runt of the day when he tossed out a Storm shad while the crew was checking the lines for weeds. We packed it in about 11am. It was a good trip with a lot of action (mostly blues)and Chelsea got to catch her first fish and managed to land the largest of the day.
