Hi-Mar Spring Striped Bass Tournament - Results
« on: May 17, 2015, 08:18:09 AM »
On behalf of the Hi-Mar Striper Club, I’d like to thank all of our participants and congratulate all of our winners in the Hi-Mar Striper Club Spring Tournament held this past weekend.

We were fortunate to have good weather and reasonably calm sea conditions that allowed our 38 boats to participate in solid striper fishing. A strong and steady Bluefish bite forced Captains to work hard to find the Bass. The spring tournament results were tight with almost half the boats weighing fish.

A special note of thanks to all of our sponsors, especially Costa del Mar and our location sponsor, Bahrs Landing in the Highlands. As always, Bahrs was very accommodating and the Hi-Mar Striper Club appreciates their gracious hospitality.

Here are the results:

1st Place: Sea Horse II with a combined winning weight of 55.4lbs – Captained by Bill Mangan

2nd Place: Team Charter Fox with a combined weight of 44.6lbs – Captained by Gary Carr

3rd Place: FIN-Z with a combined weight of 43.6lbs – Captained by Bill Zukowsky

4th Place: Jersey Key with a combined weight of 42.8lbs – Captained by Mike Sisto

5th Place: Eastwick with a combined weight of 40.0lbs – Captained by Raul Delaprida

Female Angler: 25.4lbs – Alexis Schultz who fished on Sea Horse II

Overall Largest Fish: 34.0lbs – Caught by Hi-Mar member, Greg Taffet who fished on Feeling Crabby

Costa del Mar/ Yeti Cooler Live Release Photo Contest Winner- Fisher Price IV-Capt Derek Bielitz

A "great job" to Feeling Crabby to catching the largest striped bass...Ryan, Greg, Dan and Jeff who are ALL Hi-Mar Members. Well done!

Best,

Joe Tomaszewski

Nice job on the tourney Joe T and Hi-Mar club.

I fished with Eddie on the Hallie Loren. We were only two pounds off the 5th place weight so, although we did not win anything, it was not a disappointing day for us.  chrz slt
