Reel McCoy Report Sat 06/20/15
« on: June 22, 2015, 10:05:46 AM »
Got out Saturday morning and fished the Sandy Hook Bay due to the east winds.  Started drifting near the Bug Light in a small fleet which quickly grew quite large.  First drift I lost a nice fish close to the boat,  when back and did it again and got a just short on a bucktail.  Next try I put out a bait rig with a spearing and squid combo and as soon as I put it in the rod holder I got a hit and landed a 7# fish.  A few more shorts and a blue and I called it a day by 11.
Pretty miserable conditions but I did manage to keep the skunk out of the boat.
