July 3rd Fluking
« on: July 05, 2015, 05:36:42 AM »
Kenny told me he had a spot on the Monger and I jumped on, Met Kenny and  ::) at the dock @5:30 for a 6am sharp start. Ran way north and got setup a super fast drift. Capt Jerry worked hard keeping us over the lumps for real quick (4-5 minute drifts). We picked a few here and there but it was tough. Made a run closer to the beach and the drift slowed a touch we picked a few more. Then the tale of 2 oceans kicked in and for a while we had great conditions and found decent life everywhere. Finished the day with 25 keepers to 7lbs, a bakers dozen or so of ling and a seabass. Jerry and mate as always top notch.

Thanks for the report BigAL.   t^ IF you can't catch them with Jerry at the helm, you never will.  The Monger is a class operation and they deserve all the accolades they receive.
