Hamptons fluking 8/24
« on: August 25, 2015, 07:13:48 PM »
Wasn't planning on fishing on this day since we were going on the Fish Monger today(8/25) but figured with the good bite out east aswell as lack of time remaining for the season we'd give it a shot.... Once I start college on 9/8 I can't fish much so we went for broke. I'm glad we did as we were rewarded with great fluking. Both my dad and I limited out and my dads first keeper on the first drift a nice 7 lber ended up winning the pool. He had 8 keepers and I had 5 we were high hook 1 and 2 for the boat. Lots of quality fish including a few 4s/5s with the 7. Oddly we only caught 2 fish the entire day on teasers the rest came on the jig, that's a first. Between this pool and the Monger one we only spent about 40$ for 2 days of great fishing  ;D

Nice  t^   Before I moved to NJ in 1992 I kept my first boat out in Hampton Bays.  Some good fishing out that way.
