A very unsettled weekend across the board, but some cooler temperatures and lower humidity in the future. Both days will have chances of showers and thunderstorms with chances for heavier and more organized or widely scattered rains on Saturday Night. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s with overnight lows in the 50’s to 60’s. Humidity will be lower to moderate. Water conditions will vary from good to borderline to cautious. Seas will run 2-3 feet on Saturday and then to 4 feet inshore and 5 feet inshore on Sunday Day. Winds will increase on Sunday and by Sunday Night could push 25 knots with seas to 8 feet offshore. Surf and beach conditions will be good with wave heights 1-3 and 2-4 feet with Low to Moderate Risk of rip currents. Surf will increase into Sunday Night as higher winds and seas occur. Water temperatures are a few degrees warmer, mostly in the mid to upper 70’s with some low 80’s again. UV Index will be Moderate to High at 3-6/15.
Low pressure will move along a front over the area and off the Northeast on Thursday Night. Weak high pressure will briefly move into the area on Friday. Another area of low pressure develops over the southeastern portion of the nation on Saturday. This low will move northward through the weekend bringing unsettled weather to the area. High pressure will then build in from the south on Monday, remaining for most of the week.
The week looks mostly dry with highs in the 70’s to low 80’s. Overnight lows will be in the 50’s and 60’s as some cooler and drier air moves into the region. Humidity will be moderate and low at some times. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious on Monday and Tuesday, then improving for the rest of the week.
The tropics continue to be active with systems changing every few days. Grace is no longer and Tropical Storm Henri is now out in the Atlantic. It is already off of the East Coast, but well out to sea. It should not pose a problem at all.
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
