Headed out today working with Teachers Pet from the Highlands in pure dark at 5 a.m.
very windy conditions in the dark with the last of the incoming tide on the steam out had water spraying over the tower. Got to the not so secret spot and put 1 mojo down....while getting the other rods ready to go....1st keeper striper in the boat. As day broke, the bite was decent for a couple hours until all the traffic showed up. 5 bass to 20 lbs by 9 a.m. with just as many that rolled off right at the boat and another few that came unbuttoned during the fight. Shoulda had an easy boat limit but thats fishing...and thats trolling.
later in the morning it was all the JUMBO evil yellow eye demons that had attitude and were downright nasty....they were so aggressive that i probably could have free gaffed the followers if i wanted to.
all in all a good day with weary arms for the gang!
