A mixed weekend with rain chances, warmer temperatures and some cautious water conditions. Saturday will be dry with shower chances increasing for Sunday. Sunday Day will have scattered rain showers and Sunday Night will have greater chances with snow showers possible, mainly across northern areas. Highs will be unseasonable warm in the upper 40’s to upper 50’s. I wouldn’t be surprised to see temperatures pushing 60 degrees on Saturday. Overnight lows will be in the 30’s to 40’s. Water conditions will start off cautious on Saturday, carrying over from Friday with gusty winds to 25 knots, but only sustained to 15 knots. Saturday Day seas will be in the 4 foot range. Saturday Night will have borderline to good conditions, mainly for elevated seas to 4 feet. Sunday will have borderline to good conditions, except for midshore to offshore, which will be cautious. Surf conditions will be ok with gusty winds on Saturday, diminishing throughout the day. Surf will be 3-6 feet diminishing to 2-5 feet. Beach conditions could still be hazardous from the coastal storms. Water temperatures are steady in the 30’s and 40’s. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 1-4/15.
High pressure will remain across the region today before moving offshore Friday Night. Low pressure will move across Southern Canada over the weekend and cause a cold front to cross the region on Saturday Night. The front is forecast to stall just south of the region on Sunday. Weak low pressure will ride along this front early next week. Another area of low pressure is then forecast to move northward along the Mid Atlantic Coast later Tuesday and Wednesday, slowly departing on Thursday.
The upcoming week will have rain/snow chances from Tuesday through Friday. Monday will be the only dry day. There is the potential for another Winter Storm on Tuesday to Wednesday right now, so that will need to be watched. Highs will range from the 30’s to 40’s with overnight lows in the 20’s to 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious to hazardous most of the week, right now.
