Wed. nite
« on: November 22, 2007, 11:55:12 AM »
Left the marina solo around 4pm and went to the rips for what I thought would be a short trip due to the small craft advisory. Only had 5 eels. Too bad noaa is not very good at forecasting.   There were lots of guys tearing through the rips at all speeds and right in front of my drift , right over the ledge, you name it they were doing it. Anchoring up in the middle of the rip.   Sorry, had to vent for a sec.  Anyway after doing nothing there I went to the channell by the 12 bouy with 3 eels left and right away hooked up to a nice 35" or so but I lost it trying to net it. bngh

Got some more hits and lost another eel and went back into the rips with the last one because it was so small. after an hour or so I netted a 30" and jigged a little bit.  I was happy with the one.  Wish I had more eels though. The bite was looking good by the channel. Lots of marks.  Will try again friday nite for this full moon high tide thing thats suppossed be happening.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY everybody.... chrz

Hi Keith,

Good job on the striper.  Try tying up some AVA 27's in an eel pattern or just leave the tubing on as it is suppose to mimic sand eels and have fun.

Happy Catching
