Not much relief from the heat and humidity this week with showers and thunderstorms most of the week, however, more good water conditions than cautious. Monday through Thursday will have chances of showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms could be strong to severe with heavy rains, dangerous lightning, and damaging winds. Heat and humidity will continue through most of the week with 80’s and 90’s with overnight lows 60’s and 70’s. Temperatures do not look to break until late week into the weekend. Humidity will be High most of the week. Water conditions will be good for Monday, borderline to cautious for Tuesday and Wednesday, except for north and central rivers and bays, and then good again for Thursday and Friday. Only midshore to offshore waters will be cautious on Thursday. Surf and beach conditions will be good, except for Wednesday which will be borderline. Surf heights will be 1-3 feet with 2-4 feet on Wednesday. Rip Current Risks will be Low to Moderate. Water temperatures are steady in the 70’s and 80’s, surf temperatures are lower in the 60’s and 70’s. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High at 3-9/15.

High pressure entrenched off shore will result in continued hot and humid weather across our region. A very weak cold front will move into our region tonight before stalling Monday. Low pressure passing to our north during midweek will trail another cold front through the region. Weak high pressure follows for the end of the work week and it may continue to be our primary influence into next weekend.

The weekend will have chances of showers and thunderstorms both days. Highs will be in the low 80’s with overnight lows in the 60’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious.

The Atlantic Tropics have an invest area out in the Eastern Atlantic off of Africa which will need to be watched over the next few days.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
