Thinking of getting into a kayak
« on: June 14, 2017, 02:09:36 PM »
I'm located in Burlington right next to the river, I've been shore fishing here and in the ocasional surf for multiple years now.
I've been wanting to grab an outboard boat but just can't seem to ever save up enough, so now I'm thinking about getting a kayak instead.

I've never owned one before and have only ever been in one a few times in the past. The goal is to be able to fish offshore for strippers/flounders/blues.
I've been reading and am now looking for some advice.

As much as I'd love to drop $2,000 on a new peddle drive, I'm probably going to start on the cheaper side probably something used.

Any advice or if any one is local is gratley appreciated!

Dustin

Guess this place isn't as popular as it once was.

I'm looking to either a

Hobie outback with the mirage

Or a

Native propel

Again primary use would be stripper fishing!
Any input on these?
Is the reverse system worth it?

Hi, how you doing. Been out fishing a lot. So I kind of ignored the internet for a bit.

As for if a hobie or any other kayak,
The only thing I can tell you that was
Told to me was sit in it and take it for a
Drive. Seriously they all feel
Different. So go see barrell who is in the kayak fishing store in south jersey and try them. Good guy and fair.

If you have any more questions please write back I will help where I can. Dale
I'M working on fishing.
