Netted peanuts in Keyport harbor ,fished by the sail boats and started to catch lots of shorts . As fast as the action started ,it stopped . Ran back to net more peanuts and headed directly across the bay .Caught fish on a steady basis . Guy fishing near us couldn't believe the fish we were catching and asked what ya using ? Told him peanuts and he just shook his head . You know he didn't have them .Then he tried to do our same drift ,with no results . Put 5 in the box . No monsters ,but 5 fish this season was by far our best trip .
