Christian was kind enough to invite me on his Fish Monger Fluke Charter. I borrowed Capt Jerry's report. I had 3 keeps and big fish of the day. Thanks again Christian, always an enjoyable day on the Monger.
Wed 8/16 Fluke - Well good with the bad. After a month + of great fishing it's always hard to take the first slow day... Giant gentle heave but it def made the fluke not chew well down our way. Ocean was nice but I guess it was enough to make em close their mouths. First few spots we had 0 life... then a couple keepers but that was it. Took a 20 mile steam to the north where the swell was only half the size and found a lil life...picked a keeper here n there still ng but much better than the first half of the day. Few guys actually managed their limits. Not many shorts although at the end of the day the life was better. Still Managed 19k on the day but wanted more lol Everyone I talked to complained of the same type day so I guess I have to b happy with what we scraped up... Hopefully they chew well again for is tomorow... thanks for fishing hard fellas.
