Hallie Loren --Sunday 9-17-17
« on: September 18, 2017, 07:58:33 AM »
     Sundays report.
The weatherman sure was wrong with the wind and waves report . Calm winds and some occasional swells spread far apart made for some excellent Tog and multi species fishing in the ocean.  We got our 3 man Tog Limit and released another 60 or so.. Nothing huge today.  The crabs didn't last more than a minute before being picked away by Tog, Black Seabass and Porgies. The Screen was lit up most of the day. We came across a pod of whales while heading back north that were feeding on pods of bait fish. Nice too see a bunch of our friends boats on the grounds as well including Fellinger and Sharkbite Mike,.   Boat traffic was very slim in the ocean.

Good job Eddie and crew. I was at the Shark River reef for bonito and blues. Togging was my second choice if we couldn't get to the reef. You're right about the weather forecast being wrong. Pretty flat ocean with long period swells only.  t^

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
