Kayak Ocean Fishing
« on: May 15, 2020, 08:15:21 AM »
Hey all!

New to the group and also new to salt water kayak fishing. I’ve been in the bay a few times for fluke and plenty of lakes but never ventured out front. I see a lot of information about surf launching but has anyone ever gone out front through the inlet? To me it seems like it could be less of a chance of flipping.

I was thinking of going through Corson’s inlet or Absecon’s inlet to get out front. I have a hobie compass and I would choose a day that is calm with a west wind.

Thanks for any information! Tight lines!!!

Hi,
Be very careful at inlets waves and wakes come
From everywhere, I know a lot of people that have flipped in the inlets, they had pro anglers, so that is a big kayak and flipped with a exapericed kayaker. So choose the time and place carefully. If you do a surf launch put everything you can inside your kayak ,if it is a sit on top. Leash everything down or you will

I'M working on fishing.
