Think outrigger clips Paul.  Troll a line out with the clip on the boat, fish strikes and pulls the line from the clip.  Hmmmmm, may be an entirely new fishery here.   rofla

Paul, you took the words out of my mouth. I've been thinking abot trying it for a long time.  Just never went and bought the boat.  The only thing that will stop it is the surf and swells.  You would have to find a way to stabilize the boat and keep it from rocking and tipping over from being hit by pounders.  I was thinking 1 inch PVC and couple 2 liter bottles as stabilizers, kind of what some canoes have.  Would be worth a shot!  And you wouldn't have to break your arm trying to cast past the bar!!  lol

that might be kind of smart. you can get the bait to places you couldnt normally cast it to, like under trees.

theres a small lake up my road, and i used to have a nitro v hull rc boat, and i tied a small spinner bait to it and went around the lake about 20 times,  cought a small blue gill thats it, it was pretty funny though. if they made a really big hefty non sinklable rc boat, sabiki rig int he manasquan river, oohh yeahh

Totally get a 4 line spread on release clips going... just have someone else handy to either grab the boat or the rods when they go off.... Just like real life....
