I am trying to get all my fishing stuff up to date.  I haven't been actively fishing for a long time due to the hip replacements.  But my wife knows how much I love to fish that she has been real good about the spending part.

I am just about done for now just a little more tome is needed thats all.

I will be trying to get more people introduced to surf fishing by taking them out when ever I get a chance.

I have put a hitch receiver on the front of the veh so now I can put the rod/cooler rack up front.  I like it in the back but was afraid that some one would run into it.  So it is now able to go on the front.

I would like to do more writing of articles on surf fishing and see if I can get something published.

Boy I can't wait till Spring.  I might go and practice with my new outfit tomorrow.  I decided on a 11' Tica heavy duty conventional that will handle 3 - 8oz lures.  I can't get myself to go for that 12' rod, man is that thing long its like trying to load up a telephone pole.  It seems like a good match for the 525Mag with 40# Power Pro.

Happy Catching

Every thing will get done. It always does. Its the Fishing,Hunting,Baseball, Football and The INPORTANT thing that keeps me going so I can tolerate the daily BS. Either spend it on this stuff or might have to give it to the doctor.

I am getting ready for retirement at the end of this month.  Then my fishing projects will begin.  Don't know where I will start yet, but making jigs is alway on my list.

Was just given a 14' Mirrorcraft with Yammmie and trailer.  Have to go thru it to see what it needs.  A little cleaning and it will look great.  It is in decent condition, nothing structurally wrong with it.  Just need to put what I want on it.   t^

Yeah my wife has been after me to put all my notes together into a small book and see what happens. 5hrug

She knows I like to write.  I'll see what happens once I get back up to speed.

Joe, It sounds like a nice boat to do little things in your spare time.Once you get out you split your time between boats. I have a small 16ft fiberglass that I work on in my  limited spare time, I'll get it done someday.Any day now, any day...

Paul, Once you get everything into folders and start writting who knows you might start a second career.
They both sound like fun things to do.  AJ

I haven't heard the motor run, but was told it starts right up and runs like new.  The boat itself looks to be in very good condition except it needs a good scrub down.  If we get some decent weather, I'll drag it home and clear er up and go from there.   t^

It will make an ideal back bay, river boat.   TT^

I think she just wants to keep me at home for some reason.  My studio is in the house and well I can write anywhere.

I just have to be sure I have time to fish and talk about fishing.  I seem to loose all sense of time when I talk about fishing.  Thats why she hates it when I go to a B&T.  I could be going ion for a single item and spend an hour in a deep discussion about tying teasers for instance.  5hrug

Re doing vinyl on my boat. Not a pro but it is coming out pretty good. Cost like 50 bucks in material and my  time.
Soon as it gets warm enough have to get 16 ft boat ready to sell. 16 ft bryant bow rider with 100hp evinrude and trailer.

Just finished up getting a used Coleman Crawdad I picked up fitted out with new swivel seats.   Added odds and ends (new clips for the electric motor, rod holder, etc.) as well.   It's ready to go.

Bought some accessories for the pontoon boat, but those will have to wait to go once I pull the shrinkwrap off.

I cleaned and repaired my two crab pots, my collapsables and changed out the line on all weighted hand lines.

So, with the exception of the additions to the pontoon boat still to come, my winter projects are complete.
