Bought a new Garmin...
« on: February 25, 2008, 11:19:15 AM »
Actually a refurb.

Garmin GPSMAP 540s. Not bad for the price, the 540 is what I really wanted.

Nice, that is one of BOE Jim's sites.

I bought my Tabs and LMF 400 thru them.

You should have that unit in 2 days.

Solid vendor who has a forum on thehulltruth to give advice and help with stuff.

Very knowledgeable.

Congrats!

Thanks guys.

I did see it at the BOE site on Hull Truth. The 498 was a good deal too, but too small of a screen I thought.

I did buy the external antenna as well.
I'll pick up the G2 map software over the summer after I get comfortable with the unit.

Yep, Jim owns a few sites and has good prices (which you can usually do even better if someone else has it for less).

I did buy the external antenna as well.
