As some of you may know I was up to JONESBORO CUSTOM FINISH SHOP in Maine. This is where my new girl is being built. I went to check on the progress of the NEW FISH TALE and to lend a helping hand to Tracy & Will. They really don't need my help. Although they have been great in letting me be involved with the physical building of the boat not just the planinning. Talk about an education, its been a unbelievable experience.
Anyway, she is coming along just fine. We are on schedule for a splash sometime in April.
For all intense and purposes the boat is built. There is a lot more polyfairing, sanding and gel coat that needs to be done. Also all the electronics and other electrial work is still to be finished along with plumbing, windows door. You get the point, there is still more work to be done. No problem
In one of the pics you see the cockpit right after it was put in place. The hatches are not permanent yet, they were put down for the pic.
The other picture of the cockpit is a pic as the last of the glassing was finished. The cockpit is 13' from the wheelhouse to the transom and the transom is 13' port to starboard. I think 169sq ft should do the trick. LOT OF ROOM TO FISH, or have a small dance.
The pictures of the wheelhouse are of the starboard side before it got glassed and right after glassing. You see the helm seat behind that is a tackle center and a curved seat in the corner. The curved seats on both sides of the wheelhouse use the space real well, and there is still plenty of room for a group of 6 to move around.
As I get more pics from Maine I'll post them.
