Some newer types of braid have a coating that protects the line better. I currently use powerpro and find it looking very poor toward the end of the season.

Gottog turned me on to fireline 2 yrs ago... like he said line is a bit rigid at first but love it for toggin.....Like a lot of people have had issues a few years back and changed over to Tuff Line xp which has never let me down,,,, that being said I just got another reel that i dont need and will be trying the Suffix Braid.....
