I always use my wreck anchor with a lot of chain i use 20ft with 600 ft of rope i have a 28 ft grady white i fish deeper waters it grabs quick and i use the boat to pull it out. too little of chain and its not going to grab quick and in strong current you don't want to miss your marker.
