I've been using this for over a year now. Comes in real handy when sitting at the office and thinking of making a run or plan a trip.

There are quite a few options besides hitting 6. 6 will give you the forecast for Philly and Coastal NJ here are the options (depending where you fish)

1 Philly & Delaware Valley
2 Allentown SE Pocono
3 SE NJ & Shore
4 Climate
5 Tide
6 Philadelphia and Coastal (Sandy Hook NJ to  Little Egg out 20 miles)
7 Chesapeake Bay
8 Offshore (Canyons)

Great Service and very neat when you can't get to a radio and need a "fix" or want to check things out.

No charge; as I like to say-
If it's for free it's for me... 
(of course regular phone call charges would apply, minutes used on a cell phone, or long distance if you don't have an all encompassing plan from your land line).

You didn't mention which option, but assuming you chose 6-

#6 was intended for the coastal waters on your cell phone with the fishermen in mind  ..
Same as if you where on your vhf ch#2,3,4,5..
But well within your reach.
As far as the Weather being accurated!!we can
only go by what they say..Plus there are many
sites to get updates from.

I use the weather forcast just to get an idea of what I might be in store for. I usually will always go down to the boat anyway to find out for myself what the conditions are actually like. Too many times in the past I have listened to the forcast and cancelled trips and lost what could have been a good day on the water.
They may call for 4-5 foot seas, but if they are not close together and 4-5 foot swells, that is very fishable.
It always pays to check the conditions yourself. 

Only use the forcasts as a guide.

accuweather has a great service on verizon phones, been subscribing to it for about 3 years now... radar is unbelievable, esp. during the summer when storms start firing up
