A Final Farewell to My friend Capt Vic....
« on: April 13, 2008, 09:28:49 PM »
With a heavy heart I atteneded Vics Wake today in Newark... I know as many do from experience that it is TUFF to see someone in that box laying down .... But I had to go and Say my final farewell to a young man who was a good friend to me and countless others, but i got to say what i wanted to say to him and I will leave it at that......So young and so senseless was his passing..... And so hurt and confussed are his friends and loved ones....

Had a good showing from the fishing community as expected... Lab, Shamrock Eddie, George from G&B, Fins bob, Capt Jr, Capt Freddie, Brian Rose, Buddy and his wife, Art Berkman, Lou Grasioso and his mate Matt, just to name a few of the many.....

Had a good discussion with some of these guys and we plan on putting togeather something so we can purchase a reef ball or something along those lines in Victors name.... Brian Rose is supposed to do some research as to whats available and I will be sure to pass along the details in the very near future as far donating money for something along these lines for those who are interested....

And So my friend Capt Boriqua ... aka The Loco Latino..... if you are reading this from somewhere beyond...... I hope and pray your journey was smooth with calm winds and fair skies.... Know that you will be thought of often and the stories and memories I have of you will be shared with all I know....I WILL MISS YOU... I WILL see you again my friend this much I KNOW IS TRUE.... But until then... PEACE MY FRIEND... ENJOY ETERNAL PEACE......

Yes.  Nice indeed.  Please keep us up to date.  I'm sure with all the sites and fisherman we can make a memorial happen for him.

Rod, is there a way to make a sticker thing for him like you did for our website.  I want to put something together, but the site I go on, like I posted last year, they only make cards.  If you can, I will make it up and send it to you, use your guy to make the stickers and let me know the cost.  I will cover the entire thing and give them out for the people who would like them.

Guys here is what I found.. the website is NJ Reef News. $1000  gets you 20 reef balls dedicate to the name or memorial of a past friend or loved one!!.. SO may be we can start up a collection for Capt ViC " TUNAMAN" on behalf on NJSF..

Try to get more info.
