4/18 --- stripers on the Dar-Lynn
« on: April 21, 2008, 08:23:41 AM »
First trip of the season on the Dar-Lynn.

Met Richie(snagger) early in AH to get the boat in the water and run for awhile since it was the first trip. Some wires need some scrubbing and that's about it. Boat ran great.

Soon - Clamman and Joe Z met up with us. Loaded the the boat and we were off to fish the bay. We had clams with us. Game plan was if we came across some bunker, we'll give it a shot, other wise we go with clams.

As luck would have it, we found a few bunker. We anchored up in 10-12 feet of water, temp around 50. We had outgoing tide with a very light SW wind. We had action right away. The catch of the day was Clammans(or is it Bunkerman?) 20 lber. Tide died and the fishing never picked back up after a fantastic start.

Here are a few pics:

A good start to the fishing season with family and friends.  Perfect weather and good company.  Can't ask for anything more ...

Clamman -- thanks for the food!!!!

So -- by, "After that 5th run off I had I was abit concerned but I showed you guys who the boss was"

was that after I landed the first fish on bunker or was it after I caught my 10th striper?  How many did you get? :P
