A must have for all Digital Camera Owners
« on: April 23, 2008, 05:17:13 PM »
With the quality of Picture coming out of our camera now a days on most new camera each picture can be up to 2 megabits.  this is way too much for uploading and using them on the internet.

Editing them ( as stated ed in a previous post) in paint is tiresome..

I found this program today  It loads nothing onto you PC.  it runs right off the desktop.  you drag your pics into one side and it spits out reduced pics on the other.  Simple settings and a must have for us internet users t^

I need that too. I tried to submit some pics last week and they were too big. I think I adjusted my cameras settings too high. :-\

As someone who has to frequently post pictures on a few websites I volunteer to do, I can also add that it is better to set your camera to take pictures in the 640 x 480 mode. They will already be the correct size for printing and posting on the internet and sending through email. Just my .02 cents.   grtn  t^

BuddahB, thats good if that is all you are going to use your pictures for.  I run all my pictures at full res in both Raw and JPEG at the same time.  If I have to remember that I have to change things over things get kinda messy.

I would rather keep the hi res and dupe them into the smaller format later.

I shoot thousands of pictures a year for our HS's website plus video so I have to keep things simple.  Last night they gave a concert that I ran 2 hours of video plus over 200 pictures.

but if you do not shoot like I do going to the lower res. would make sense if all you are going to do is put pictures on websites.

Happy Catching

What a fast and easy to use program, thanks!
Here's another great free program that does it all, be sure to download the plug-in file also.  Did I mention it was free?  ;D  I find it easy to use and does almost as much as several fee-based programs combined!
