« on: May 02, 2008, 11:21:52 PM »
got a late start, picked up 1/2 bushel clams, launched at Sayreville, fishing by 11,mostly back bay just passed Raritan Bay light house.caught one short within the 1st 1/2 hr.that was it for the day, came in at 3:30,still have issues with boat after getting out of shop yesterday, that's another story, friend Ken met us at  ramp he knew we were out, talked us into going back out on his boat for an evening trip.we picked up another bushel of clams and 5 of us headed out about 4:30.headed up past the 19 can in the Reach, anchored and chummed heavy.made a couple moves and only thing caught for our effort was pulling up one dead weight skate.headed in about 8:30.nice to get out, kinda sorry made that 2nd trip with all the non action.we'll get em next time.
of all liars among mankind the fisherman is most trustworthy.  William Sherwood Fox

I hope you can get the boat issue out of the way before the fishing does heat up.
