5/3 report
« on: May 03, 2008, 07:26:05 PM »
Not much report.
Young GUll and I made it down to the boat, launched around 6:30am in sh!tty conditions. Didn't make it too far.

Goofed around a litle bit inside of keyport, came back in, did some minor work (thanks again Ed) and called it a day.

NASTY out there today.

No fun.

I did hear of some nice fish caught today, but it wasn't by me.

Hope next Saturday weather is better.

I woke up this morning with intentions of going fishing. I took about three steps out the door and turned around and went back to bed....Hopefully it warms up soon.

There is a joke in there.  TT^

Saturday morning I got up early, put on my long johns, dressed quietly, made my lunch, grabbed the dog, slipped quietly into the garage to hook the boat up to the truck, and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour. There was snow mixed with the rain, and the wind was blowing 50 mph. I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad throughout the day. I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back into bed. There I cuddled up to my wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and whispered, "The weather out there is terrible." She sleepily replied, "Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that crap ?..."

The small craft advisory this morning also pulled the plug on my fishing plans. Installed a stereo on the boat today instead. Bad weather again for Sunday, will have to wait until next weekend. nosmly <'((((><

When I finally "came to" yesterday it was blowing pretty hard, figured you guys would take a beating.
Any life in close or was it dead?  Moorings filling up fast with the blowboats?

You would have gotten slammed going from keyport up to GK in a 21' boat for sure.
