Trolling Quabbin Massachusetts
« on: May 06, 2008, 09:13:14 AM »
Went to Quabbin yesterday with my son "Bent Twig" and Capt A. they wanted to do some deep trolling for lakers and flatline landlocks too.

Hand a very slow bite with only 1 4pound laker to show for our efforts.

We also found out it's still pretty early there for a decent smallmouth bite but good things are to come soon.

Talked to a couple sharpies once we got off the water who were just arriving. They told us that the morning bite has been really poor and they haven't even been launching till after 2pm. I guess they have been banging some very nice salmon to 6 pounds late in the day.

Still a fun and beautiful day on the water.....

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot
