6/05 NY Bassin'
« on: June 05, 2008, 11:49:37 PM »
Met my buddy Johnny right after work, for a few hours of Bass Fishing.. Loaded my puddle jumper and the trolling motor into the back of the truck and headed over to a little lake near Kingston, about 15 minutes from home.. In the water fishing by 6pm..Weather was sweet..65, slight overcast, and a light breeze..Started off slow for the the first half hour, but finally got a nice 1-1/2 # largemouth to take a Texas rigged worm at the edge of some sparse pads in about 5ft. After that had a few more on the worm to about 2 1/2lb. before switching to a weedless frog to fish some heavier mats..Landed 2 more  on the frog with 1 being around 3#,  and missed a bunch.. had a blast watching them blow up on it though!  hhppy Came to an old sunken dock and switched back to the worm.. First cast to the dock gets crushed, and I know instantly its a good one.. With a little maneuvering around the old pilings, and some creative boat-backing by Johnny, I was able to work her out of the mess..As I was traveling light, I had no way to weigh her, but I'd guess around 5- 5 1/2#..Johnny snapped a quick shot and off she went. Got a couple more smaller fish before heading in at about 8:30. Between John and I we ended up with about 15 LM, but I took all 3 $1.00 pools for first, most and biggest.. I needed to get him back for our last Striper trip anyway!  hhppy

Nice... TT^

I have to get out, today was just not the day for me.  I sat in front of this dang computer editing all day till about 7 this evening.  I can't wait till my daughter graduates.
