Has anyone used the Gulp Alive Spray? What flavor scent did you use and how did it work?  I like the Gulp product, I use the swimming mullet and have had great success. Thanks for any info.

They have it at BassPro Shop, I don't know if any local shops have it yet.

Grumpy's in Seaside has it. I also saw it at several other shore area tackle shops, just can't think of what ones right now.  :P

I have tried the herring scent from Grumpys and I have net seen any big difference.  I was it on bucktails tipped with a white curly tail in the Barnegat Inlet caught a number of blues but who is to say it was the scent or just the hungry blue.

You might be right.  I was giver the stuff to try during the winter and it was the first time trying it a couple of three weeks ago when I caught the blues at the BI.

They have the Gulp spray at all west marine, overtons, sports authority, etc stores.  I usually fish in Florida and we have found that the spray makes no difference and wears off quick.

We use Lunker Sauce instead.  It stays on for 30 mins (claim), but we apply it every dozen casts or so or after every fish.  Order online.

Works great:  http://www.lunkersauce.com/

My opinion.. Gulp should leave well enough alone.  The alive is great, all baits soak and absorb the sent, and you can put your bait back if when your no longer using it.  The spray, like any other spray won't last as long, wash off quickly and in my opinion a waste of money.

Gulp struck gold with there gulp products, but now I think they are over doing it, just trying to sell, sell, sell... Now they think they can put the Gulp name on anything and it's automatic perfection.

Like any cook would do...  marinate over night for the best tasting steak... but if you just put the marinate on right before you cook it, it isn't as good.

Nick,
What you said make sense, I think the spray might be good for bait that you just cut up. Won’t last long but should help. This was done a long time ago with the bass guys and it sold. I bet if you take your old Alive juice and spray it on you bait it will work just a well. I even think garlic juice was used at one time.
