« on: June 17, 2008, 07:41:03 AM »
Usually launch out of A.H. and never really paid much mind to the tow boat that was there, Is it TOW BOAT or SEA TOW ????? How do you sign up and what mightsome of their packages be ( coverage , price ,etc) After hearing some of these nightmare stories I'm beginning to think using sea tow sounds better and better! THANKS!

Check them out online or visit a West Marine store, they have a small discount.  Inexpensive for the year, definitely worth it.

Either one is good for the service they perform. They both perform extremely well. It is only a matter of personal preference as to which one to choose.
I think right now TowBoatUS is a little cheaper. Make sure you get the unlimited towing if you go with TowBoatUS.  t^

I have Sea Tow which is in the Highlands but,
as with Tow Boat, they have boats all over and respond to your call with the nearest available boat. If you ran down to Seaside and had trouble they may send a boat from Manasquan. Rate depends on size of boat.  They also provide some trailer insurance while you are on the road. My bill for a 23' trailered boat is $160.00 with road coverage. You definitely should not go without it as one tow can break the bank.  Most rates are $100-150 for a year and they will respond to a gas request, dead battery or tow for engine problem. Don't leave port without it!  It is reassuring. Check the rates and deals and pick the best for you, your boat and fishing/boating activities.

It will be nice to know there will be someone that will come get you if there is trouble. The equipment doesn't stay new forever. Mine especially, it's a 76' and always needing some sort of T L C!   t^

TowBoatUS - Great Investment!  If you don't have it, they charge $280.00 an hour, minimum 1 hour.  Also a great way to save on fuel! ;D

Either Tow Boat US in Atl High or Sea Tow in Highlands are top shelf operations......

It will be the best money you ever spent, remember you can't walk home if you break down t^

Best Sea Tow package is $149 and I believe the top Boat US is $134...... pretty much 6 of half a dozen of the other t^
